Mr. Ivey
I would like to say thank you from the Columbia County Bulldogs for a job well done on this tournament.  We had a great time playing Nations Baseball.  I had several parents make comments about how exceptionally nice your staff were, and those two boys of yours were the most polite young men I have ever met!!!!  We really enjoyed our trip up to Winder and will most definitely come back. We can tell you really love what you do and love watching these boys do what they love.  Our boys are excited about Cooperstown there were several that went straight home and looked it up on the computer.
Thanks Again

Shannon,
I wanted to thank you for a great tournament!  It was very well run and everyone was exceptionally helpful and nice.  All of our coaches and parents commented on how courteous and accommodating everyone was.
Thank you again for a great weekend of baseball!  It is very obvious that you really do care about the boys, families and coaches!
Best regards,
Steve Whitley

Very well done, Shannon. This was one of the finest tournaments we've played in, and you were a very gracious host. Hope we'll see you out at the park again soon.
Thanks much,

Shannon,
First of all, I want to say that you seem like a first class guy. I especially appreciate your follow-up and how you asked me numerous times if I had any questions or if there was anything you could do for us. The folks you had working for you displayed the same attitude. I remember being in the bathroom at one point and seeing someone in there sweeping it. I can honestly say, I have never seen that at a baseball tournament before. I also saw guys cleaning, picking up trash, etc. So in other words, I was impressed. THANK YOU for having us and for treating us so well. I thought our age group was pretty balanced and we saw some good competition. I also want to thank you for helping me work around my daughter's softball tournament.

First, I can't think of one negative thing or anything you could do better. I love the way you work on the fields between games.  Your umpires always do a wonderful job, may not agree with them everytime, but they are consistent. I feel like you are there for the right reasons; and have learned from our conversations what some of those reasons are. And take that advise and apply to me personally and to my family. All of your helpers, both on the field and off, concession workers are the most helpful and polite people I have ever been around at tournaments. You present yourself very well during the tournaments and during trophy presentations also.
And, thanks for helping and know that I do appreciate our youth baseball discussions.
GREAT JOB

Shannon,
I wanted to take this moment to summarize my spring season.  I actually had my parents come to me asking when we were going to play in Winder again.  You do a fantastic job with all your tournaments.  Clean facilities, good food, nice fields, knowledgeable umpires and a good family atmosphere.  I believe you are selective as to who you invite to your tournaments in order to make sure the experience is good for all who are there.  You almost feel like you know everyone there with the way you introduce coaches to each other and bring them together.  It is a great experience for our kids and parents and I look forward to many more seasons coming to your tournaments.  Keep up the great work and dedication to youth baseball in the area.
Sincerely

We had a great time.  Even though we played with mostly 11 year olds in the 12U tourney, the games were competitive which is all you can ask.
The umpiring was excellent all day, and all of the other coaches and parents were class acts (it was a great atmosphere for baseball).
Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks Shannon for a nice day of baseball.  The two umpires that did the 11U were in my opinion, the best two umpires we have seen in the last year.  They added humor, and explained their calls to all the teams when asked.  Very good umpires.

Thanks for a great tournament.  My kids and families love your park and the way you run such a smooth event.  We all had a great time and a worthwhile baseball experience.  Looking forward to the next one.  Thanks, again.

BELOW ARE SOME COMMITMENTS REGARDING THE  MEMORIAL DAY INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT

By Dennis Lemming
The 11U Georgia Bandits captured another prestigious invitational tournament with 7 states being represented with many of the top 20 TBS teams attending.  Teams from as far away as Mississppi joined the Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio, Florida and North Carolina teams to make this one of the years toughest tournaments surpassing even the Elite Battle in the South Tournament won by the Bandits a few weeks earlier.
I saw some of the best baseball games that you could imagine with many of the elite teams that represent this region.  Bandits handled the Bay Bombers 9-0 in the championship contest to finish off a grueling day of baseball with 4 games in a row played.  I predict that this first Memorial Day Invitational will soon become one of the premiere events played in the South as it was well put together, well ran, with some of the best umpiring I have seen this season.  In travel baseball circles this is the recipe that always keeps us coming back.

Shannon -- thanks....  I appreciate all you did during the tourney.  It was the best run tourney we've been to all year.  Thanks again -- and hope to see you next year.

Shannon,
We enjoyed your Memorial Day Invitation a bunch.  The competition was great, the fields were perfect and you guys did a great job running the tournament.  Hopefully, next year’s event will be even better.
Thanks,
Jim

I wanted to congratulate Shannon Ivey and Nations baseball for putting on the best tournament we have played in this year. The teams were great, the fields were near perfect the concessions were good, the gate fee was reasonable and the umpiring was way above average. We saw some great games this weekend.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to second that. Shannon put together an outstanding tournament. I was glad to be a part of it as I am with all his tournaments.
Great games...my families enjoyed it tremendously.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This tournament made for the best tournament of 2010 for several reasons and I'll speak on some of them.
The playing surface was one of the best, not to hard and not to soft. I felt the grounds crew of which Shannon Ivey was one of made sure every field was in top notch shape before every game.
The mounds were by far the best mounds that my son has pitched from EVER.
The competition was as tough as any tournament of the 2010 season for the Bombers. We in my opinion had about the toudhest run facing Team Ga. TPSA Bandits, Sandtown Red Sox, Bandits Baseball and 643 Jaguars. By the time we reached the championship game and after winning two one run games were out of pitching and juice. In the end we got what we went for, the competition and if thats not what everyone is there for then I feel bad for your kid.
The bathrooms I feel would have made bmoser proud and the concessions had great hot dogs with home made slaw that gets a 10 rating in my book.
Lastly I don't think enough can be said about the effort that Shannon Ivey put forth to make this a very successful tournament. He spoke to and joked with alot of kids, met me personally and made me a fan of his tournaments. We hope that next year he will make this same tournament available to all age groups but just like this one to each age group one weekend at a time. It was nice that he focused just on the 11u and I feel that this might be the way to go so that the director make it about the experience and not just a paycheck!!!

After seeing all the games I just want to completely agree about the quality of the tournament. Shannon Ivey consistently puts on some of the best tournaments in our state. Now that he has decided that he occasionally wants to cater to the major teams I believe it will only help his tournaments and Nations baseball. We have played in several of his tournaments and he always takes the time to speak to everyone and he knows just about every kid by name. Other teams would be crazy not to participate in this tournament next year!!
